All our Staff here at The Willows our dedicated and enthusiastic about creating an environment which is both stimulating and positive for childrens growth and wellbeing.
The Willows has a consistent staff team many of whom have a wide range of recognised qualifications, all our staff are Peadiatric first aid and Food hygiene trained. Our staff have a wealth of experience which they bring to their role, whether as a parent or through training and working in a variety of early years settings. In each room there are key staff working set hours in order to ensure consistency for the children in our care. The Willows also employs part time staff who work in all base rooms and over varying hours in order to maintain good practice of child/adult ratios at all times throughout the day.
It is the key person’s role to build a relationship with your child when they first join, support them within setting through transitions, to be aware of their individual needs, and to have overall responsiblity for their learning and development record. If you would like to talk to your child’s key person, such as to discuss their development or individual needs please speak to them at the beginning or end of the day. You can also contact The Willows and arrange a more suitable time to talk to them in private.
All nursery room staff continue to be involved in the care and development of each child. The Willows firmly believe that familiar well-known staff in each room is essential in order to build trusting relationships where children are able to enjoy and achieve in a safe, stimulating environment.
Rigorous recruitment procedures are in place; potential new staff are all interviewed, references are sought and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks are taken before they begin their employment with us. All new posts are subject to a three month probationary period.
